FRANS HALS MUSEUM - Haarlem
In 1862 a Stedelijk Museum (civic museum) was officially opened in the
town hall. It had 123 paintings and a catalogue. Eventually, when lack
of space forced the museum to move elsewhere, a former Old Men.s Home
at Groot Heiligland was made ready to accommodate it. The .Frans Hals
Museum. was opened there in 1913.
The Delft blue reproduction was given by KLM in
1962 together with a return ticket and the entrance to the Museum in
the occasion of the Museum's 100th anniversary.
