THE PAGODA

On 23 May 1996, China's civil aviation minister and the Dutch ambassador to China agreed that there would be bi-weekly flights from Amsterdam to Beijing. During the first flight on 26 June 1996, a miniature of The Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests in Beijing was presented to passengers. This miniature is also known as The KLM Pagoda. It was commissioned by the Dutch Embassy and KLM in China Vlank
